Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Children’s Learning Disability Nurse to join our specialist team supporting children and young people living in Craven with learning disabilities. The post-holder will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care, promoting independence, inclusion, and improved health outcomes for children and their families.

Main Duties of the Job
As a Staff Nurse within the Children’s Learning Disabilities team, you will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care, promoting independence, inclusion, and improved health outcomes for children and their families. This includes planning, implementing, and reviewing evidence‑based care, interventions and health promotion specifically developed for children with learning disabilities. You will work in partnership with other agencies to provide seamless, flexible services that meet the needs of people with learning disabilities and their carers across a range of community settings.

Qualifications
- Registered nurse – Learning Disability Nurse
- NMC registration
Experience
- At least 2 years working with children and young people with learning disabilities
- Experience working in the community
- Previous safeguarding experience
