Job Overview
As a result of continued development a requirement has arisen for a manager with a background in sheet metal fabrication to undertake a pivotal role within an expanding mechanical manufacturing business.
Responsibilities
- Overall manufacturing management on a day to day basis and complete projects from initial design concept, manufacture through to on time delivery.
- Leading and motivating managers and staff to meet exacting delivery deadlines under difficult circumstances.
- Assessing current internal manufacturing operations and identifying areas for improvement within manufacture and the supporting systems/processes.
- Working with sales to ensure the manufacturing process is competitively on delivery, cost and quality.
Qualifications
The role will be highly visible with considerable autonomy. The ideal candidate will be HND+ qualified in a mechanical engineering or related discipline and have several years of experience managing and leading teams within a sheet metal fabrication environment. The ability to lead, motivate staff and to identify and deliver tangible improvements (change management) within the business is essential. Strong commercial awareness is a prerequisite.
