The role
This company is building the API infrastructure for diagnostic healthcare, making patient data from wearables and lab tests accessible, automated, and actionable. They’re already processing millions of lab tests and streaming data from 3M+ wearables per second across all 50 US states, targeting 40 million diagnostics by 2026. They’re profitable and backed by leading investors, having not yet touched their Series A.
You’ll join a small, rapidly scaling engineering team (6 to ~18 this year) with significant end-to-end ownership across wearables and lab testing products. This is a full‑stack role where you’ll design, build, and ship features from customer dashboards to diagnostic APIs, directly engaging with users and iterating based on feedback. This isn’t a “move fast and break things” environment; it’s about applying strong product instincts with the discipline required when patient outcomes are at stake.
The work
- Design and ship full‑stack features end‑to‑end, from customer‑facing dashboards for ordering lab tests to APIs surfacing actionable diagnostic data.
- Translate complex medical information into intuitive interfaces for clinicians and patients.
- Engage directly with healthcare customers, gather usage data, and drive product iterations based on real‑world feedback.
- Address underspecified, complex problems involving insurance rules, lab constraints, and incomplete patient data, turning ambiguity into shippable software.
- Operate against cloud infrastructure processing millions of daily transactions and streaming data from millions of wearables per second.
What You Bring
- Senior‑level product engineering experience at a startup, owning and shipping full‑stack features from spec to production.
- Proficiency across a modern full‑stack: TypeScript/Next.js (frontend), Python/Go (backend), and cloud infrastructure (GCP or equivalent) at scale.
- A track record of taking ambiguous, complex problems and delivering clear plans and working software without extensive hand‑holding.
- Demonstrable, specific interest in healthcare and its impact on patients. Expect to discuss this in depth.
