Overview
At Holbrook School for Autism we have an exciting new opportunity to join our pastoral team in order to support the safeguarding, attendance, wellbeing and pastoral care of our pupils by working closely with staff, families and external agencies. The postholder will help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Responsibilities
- Support safeguarding, attendance, wellbeing and pastoral care of pupils.
- Work with 4‑19‑year‑olds with autism and learning disabilities and implement child protection procedures to ensure pupils are safe from harm.
- Provide emotional and pastoral support to pupils, working with staff to develop strategies to support their individual needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, external professionals and families.
Qualifications & Requirements
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required; a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as each case is judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
