We’re looking for a hands‑on Team Leader to drive performance, quality and efficiency across our manufacturing operations. You’ll lead a team on shift, ensure smooth production flow and champion continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment, reporting directly to the Production Team Leader.

At the centre of daily operations you will ensure everything runs safely, smoothly and on time. Commute from Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Smethwick, Rowley Regis, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Aldridge, Hockley, Quinton, Darlaston, Willenhall, Bilston, Bloxwich, Wombourne and Oldbury.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to quality systems and standard work.
• Ensure the production schedule is on time.
• Coach, train and develop team members; maintain training matrices.
• Manage daily staffing levels.
• Maintain 5S standards.
• Oversee machine outputs, escalating issues and supporting maintenance response.
• Ensure TPM activities are completed and effective.
• Update visual management boards and production planning tools.
• Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives (quality, waste reduction, changeover reduction).
• Handle performance and conduct issues where required.

Requirements

• Experience of Team Leading within a manufacturing environment, ideally fast paced.
• Happy to work Double Days – Monday to Friday.
• Knowledge of SMED and TPM beneficial but not essential.
• Calm, organised and proactive under pressure.
• Strong communicator who draws the best from the team.
• Data‑driven mindset with a focus on results and improvement.
• A “can‑do” attitude.
• Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
