Support Technician – Maintenance Engineering

What you’ll be doing

• Provide front‑line support on live equipment and respond quickly to conveyor or sorter stoppages.
• Carry out planned inspections, preventative maintenance and support repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Monitor equipment performance on the ground, call out problems early, and log all activity in CMMS.
• Work safely in high‑risk environments, including height and confined spaces, and support new equipment installs and system upgrades.
• Back the team during live faults and build confidence working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Genuine interest in engineering and how systems operate under pressure.
• Comfortable in a hands‑on, physical role with varying shifts.
• Calm and focused when equipment stops, with a focus on resolving the issue.
• Clear communication on the shop floor, especially during live issues.
• Willingness to learn quickly, accept feedback, and apply it immediately.
• Desirable: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification; experience in maintenance, production or operational environments.
