We’re looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join our team. You’ll play a key role in processing weekly payrolls for both temporary and internal staff, and support our Accounts & Payroll Manager with day-to-day finance tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Input hours and rates into our recruitment software to run weekly payroll
  • Check timesheets and resolve any pay queries with consultants and temps
  • Set up new starters and maintain digital employee records
  • Process holiday pay and issue P45s when needed
  • Run payroll reports and submit data to HMRC and pension provider
  • Make payments via online banking to staff, HMRC, DWP, and other third parties
  • Support with year-end payroll tasks and liaise with other departments when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience using Sage Payroll (or similar) and a good grasp of PAYE
  • Confident with data entry and handling high-volume weekly payrolls
  • Comfortable using Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • A clear communicator with a calm, can-do attitude
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in recruitment or manufacturing environments
