Assistant Accountant

We are recruiting an experienced, pro-active, and enthusiastic Part Qualified Assistant Accountant for a global business based in Sheffield, providing a service to enable businesses of all sizes to operate more efficiently and drive growth. This is a newly created role due to growth and business demands. This role suits candidates with experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties will include:

• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Posting journals.
• Accruals and prepayments.
• Analysis of trends and financial performance data.
• Monitoring and checking expenses.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

The person

• The successful candidate will be actively studying towards a professional qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
• Previous experience is essential.
• Good IT skills, including Excel, are essential.
• You will be organized and able to prioritize your workload to meet deadlines.
• You will be flexible with a positive attitude.
