Fire Door Carpenter

We are seeking a Fire Door Carpenter to complete inspections, maintenance, repair, and replacement of fire doors at multiple healthcare and public buildings across the South East. You will be provided with a company van and fuel card; a UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire doors to determine necessary repairs or replacements.
• Perform fire door maintenance and remedial work, including fitting door stoppers.
• Ensure doors comply with current fire regulations and safety standards.
• Adjust door frames, ironmongery, and seals for proper fit and function.
• Identify and rectify fire door defects.
• Install new fire doors and frames (training provided).
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and work performed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent.
• Previous experience with maintenance, repair, and installation of fire doors.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and fire safety standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
