Job Overview
- Protect customers’ property, people and assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements for the customer, ensuring full responsibility and accountability to aid in the retention of the contract.
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
Operations
- Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions.
- Proactively review the published Assignment Instructions, familiarise yourself with any changes, and suggest additional amendments that will improve the level of service.
- Be compliant with industry and statutory legislation, ensuring you hold a frontline licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision and a CCTV PSS SIA licence; renew licences 16 weeks before expiry.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work systematically, methodically and in an orderly manner.
Training
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.
- Ensure your licence is renewed 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Look out for and immediately report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries as soon as possible after any incident for the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- Ensure call‑outs are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.

- Previous security experience.
- SIA licence.
- SC clearance desirable.
