Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, experienced, and proactive Housekeeper & Household Manager to support a warm family household based near Kings Bromley / Alrewas, Staffordshire.
The family are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a well-run, tidy, and welcoming home environment. This is a varied role covering both housekeeping and light household management responsibilities, including oversight of a nearby Airbnb cottage.
This position requires someone who enjoys taking ownership, working independently, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of a busy family home.
Key Responsibilities
- General housekeeping and daily cleaning of the household
- Laundry, ironing, and care of clothing to a high standard
- Wardrobe organisation and maintaining household order throughout
- Managing household routines, systems, and daily organisation
- Maintaining household supplies, stock levels, and replenishment
- Planning and carrying out deep cleaning schedules
- Ensuring all rooms remain clean, tidy, and well presented at all times
- Monitoring standards across the property and proactively identifying areas for improvement
- Flagging maintenance issues and coordinating minor repairs where required
- Supporting the preparation and changeovers of a nearby Airbnb cottage
- Ensuring the overall presentation of the property remains consistently high, including entrances and outdoor-facing areas
- Working independently while following established household systems and checklists
- Supporting the smooth running of the household on a day-to-day basis
- Maintaining discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a private household, housekeeping, or hospitality role
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive and hands‑on approach
- Excellent attention to detail and consistently high standards
- Confident working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities
- Reliable, trustworthy, and highly discreet
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
- Looking for a stable, long‑term position
- Ideally based within 20 minutes of Kings Bromley / Alrewas
