Our Summer Internship offers a unique opportunity to spend eight weeks working alongside experienced property professionals, gaining valuable insight into how a major public sector organisation manages its property portfolio and delivers regeneration across the region.
You’ll be part of our Property & Strategic Assets Team, supporting live projects, developing professional skills, and contributing to meaningful work that makes a difference across the West Midlands.
What you’ll be doing
- Review leases, licences and other property documents to extract and record key information.
- Support the implementation of a new Property Asset Management System.
- Assist surveyors with a variety of property and asset management activities.
- Help maintain accurate property records, databases and documentation.
- Support meetings, workshops and team activities.
- Respond to routine enquiries from colleagues and stakeholders.
- Develop analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills through real work experience.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation while building your professional network.
What we’re looking for
- Currently studying towards a degree in Surveying or Law.
- Curious, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
- Organised, accurate and detail‑focused.
- Comfortable working with information and analysing data.
- Strong communicators with good written and verbal skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to manage their time effectively and prioritise tasks.
