Technical Packer / Operative

ALPLA UK is a leading provider of high‑quality plastic packaging. Our Golborne site, located on East Lancs Road and within 5 minutes of J22/J23 M6, employs over 270 colleagues producing packaging solutions for major international customers. We now need to strengthen our Packing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Check that each label is the correct one for the product being packed.
• Ensure that the date and packer number is clearly marked on each label.
• Maintain health and safety awareness.
• Apply a reliable, self‑motivated and resourceful approach to work in a manufacturing warehouse.
• Use proactive, methodical and accurate/safe working methods.
• Provide excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Learn quickly and safely.
• Spot and report product defects to supervision.
• Troubleshoot and address issues with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles).
• Remove any defective cartons, trays, etc. that do not meet specification.

Qualifications

• Previous packing experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience ensuring products meet specification.
