Vickerstock are partnering a leading global manufacturer seeking to appoint a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join its technical support team in Omagh.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic expertise to take ownership of complex technical investigations while supporting a global dealer and customer network.

Your day to day.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will act as a senior technical authority, diagnosing machine issues, driving root cause analysis and contributing directly to product improvement initiatives across an internationally recognised product portfolio.

  • Provide senior-level technical support to dealers and customers across a global network.
  • Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
  • Act as a key escalation point for technical issues through the company helpdesk system.
  • Conduct detailed root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to improve product reliability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical procedures, service documentation and commissioning guides.
  • Support new product development activities, including prototype testing and validation.
  • Provide field service support when required, including opportunities for international travel.

Your ESSENTIALS.

  • Proven experience in a senior technical support, service engineering or customer-facing engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience working with heavy plant, machinery, crushing, screening or similar equipment.
  • Background in installation, commissioning and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to lead technical investigations and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

And even better if you have experience with

  • Experience with three-phase electrical systems, AC drives and inverter technology.
  • Quarrying, crushing and screening industry experience.
  • HNC/HND or Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical lead.
