Senior HSE Advisor
Tods Technology is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join our team at our manufacturing headquarters in Portland, Dorset.
This key role is responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across the business, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, customer and certification requirements. The successful candidate will play a leading role in maintaining and improving our ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems while supporting operational teams across the site.

Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety (ISO 45001)
- Maintain and continually improve the Health & Safety Management System.
- Provide professional advice on risk control and legislative compliance.
- Develop and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
- Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
- Conduct workplace inspections and internal audits.
- Manage contractor Health & Safety compliance.
- Deliver HSE training, inductions and toolbox talks.
Environmental Management (ISO 14001)
- Maintain and support the Environmental Management System.
- Manage environmental aspects, impacts and legal registers.
- Monitor waste management, emissions and environmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and best practices.
Compliance & Systems
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Support internal and external ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 audits.
- Maintain HSE documentation, records and reporting systems.
- Drive corrective actions through to successful completion.
Operational Support
- Provide a strong HSE presence across manufacturing operations.
- Support all departments with safety and environmental matters.
- Assist with new equipment introductions, PUWER assessments and process changes.
- Provide HSE support for site expansion projects and facility modifications.
About You
Essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Internal Auditor qualification.
- Experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- NEBOSH Diploma.
- IEMA qualification.
- Experience within aerospace, defence or another regulated manufacturing environment.
