The role
As a Senior Engineer at Liberis, you will be a key mentor to other members of the Engineering team, supporting the continuous development and pushing the boundaries of a scaling, multi‑product FinTech organisation. You will write code that solves real‑world problems for small businesses and help shape products that unlock opportunity at scale.

We are a growth‑stage fintech with teams in London, Nottingham, Atlanta, Stockholm, Munich and Mumbai. Engineering is undergoing an AI‑first transformation, rethinking how teams are structured and how they ship. Interview Process
- Screening call with Chess (Internal Recruiter) – 30 minutes
- Video interview with the Hiring Manager – 45 minutes
- In‑person code‑pairing interview with a member of the Engineering team – 1 hour
- Video interview with the wider Liberis team – 1 hour
Requirements
- Proven success writing code in two or more programming languages.
- Willingness to learn our tech stack – mostly C# .NET, Node and React.
- Proven experience developing APIs and services.
- Understanding of working with Agile methods such as Extreme Programming, Kanban or Scrum.
- Experience mentoring more junior team members.
- Resilience in early‑stage business situations where requirements evolve and experimentation is required.
- On‑call rotation – details will be discussed during screening.
- Bonus: experience with cloud technologies (GCP), collaborative methods such as ensemble, mob or pair programming, financial software or Test‑Driven Development.
Hybrid working
Our hybrid working policy requires team members to be in the office at least three days a week, ideally four days. We value flexibility as a core part of our culture while also prioritising time together in the office.
