Hours: 37 hours full time – part time/job share considered

Salary: HoS2 £88,296 – £93,012 per annum

Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Public Health team in Herefordshire. As a senior leader, you will lead across adult Health Improvement and Public Health Intelligence, working on areas such as smoking, physical activity, healthy weight, population health management and the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead across adult Health Improvement and Public Health Intelligence domains.
  • Develop and deliver programmes in smoking, physical activity and healthy weight.
  • Manage population health improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Care Board and other partners on place‑based leadership.
  • Support commissioning and service provision in rural Herefordshire.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants can be newly qualified or experienced consultants. The role seeks individuals with a strong desire to innovate, make a difference and take pride in their work. Relevant professional qualifications and experience in public health leadership are desirable.
