Senior Mechanical Engineer – Medical Devices Consultant (Cambridge)
Due to the growth of a leading Medical Devices organisation, we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager, Medical Devices Inventor, or Mechanical Design Consultant for a newly approved role in Cambridge.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects, coordinating with internal experts in mechanical, electronic, biomedical and physical engineering.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to invent and develop new medical devices.
Provide hands‑on design and engineering support using 3‑D CAD tools.
Act as a consultant and interface with third parties.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in mechanical design of medical devices.
- Proficient with a 3‑D CAD tool; SolidWorks knowledge is advantageous.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field, though experience is paramount.
- Prior experience as a Medical Devices Consultant or Senior Mechanical Engineer is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and interact with external stakeholders.
