Principal Jetty/Coastal Engineer

We are seeking a Principal Jetty/Coastal Engineer to support the lead engineer in preparing engineering deliverables within the assigned scope. The role requires subject matter expertise in a range of marine and coastal engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review surveys/data and perform Metocean Bathymetry, Onshore topography, Onshore/nearshore geotechnical/geophysical, Environmental baseline studies, and existing data reviews.
• Scope, specify, and commission studies; supervise and monitor progress.
• Interpret and determine design parameters for:
• Marine offloading facility optimization (dredging vs trestle vs causeway)
• No. of berths, orientation, product storage volume, mooring/berth availability, sediment transport/siltation, fast‑time navigation, real‑time navigation
• Bridge simulations and pilot training
• Remedial and design life‑extension projects
• Develop bases of design/specifications, preliminary and detailed design for permanent and temporary marine facilities: dredging, reclamation, fill, shore protection, breakwaters, mooring/berthing dolphins, gangways, cranes, navaids.
• Structural substructure, trestle, loading platforms, jetty head structures.
• Geotechnical investigations, piles, earthworks.
• Prepare commercial/contractual scopes of work, evaluate technical bids.
• Coordinate closely with clients and third‑party contractors, and work with project teams across global offices to meet deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

• First or higher degree in Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• Experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering of jetty and coastal structures.
• In‑depth knowledge of the latest revisions of applicable design codes.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Comfortable working both independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Office‑based role.
