Contract – Infrastructure Architect – PE backed – Regulated business – Scale up

Outside IR35

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to support a major platform transformation, moving from a current Azure estate to a modern containerised environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern infrastructure architecture across Azure and container platforms.
• Design observability solutions using New Relic, Datadog, or similar tools, covering logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Lead disaster recovery and resilience design across application, database, and data layers, including backup and restore testing.
• Define environment topology, segregation, and operational support models.
• Drive ITIL-aligned service transition into BAU, including operational acceptance criteria, runbooks, and escalation processes.

Skills & Experience

• Proven Infrastructure, Cloud, or Platform Architect experience.
• Strong Azure architecture background.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, Docker, or containerised platforms.
• Expertise in observability and monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of resilience, disaster recovery, and operational readiness.
• Experience delivering service transition and ITIL-based support models.
