We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our team at our office in Waterloo. The role offers a hybrid work pattern and involves supporting a number of companies within the Bouygues Group across the UK.

Purpose of the role

Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support for laptops and mobile devices, both remotely and face‑to‑face at our head office. Manage incidents and service requests in OASIS, respond to user queries promptly and professionally, and provision and profile computers for new starters or replacements.

Key skills

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support end‑users in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.

Main responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer software, hardware, network, and mobile device issues using available support tools and following procedures remotely or face‑to‑face on site (BYCN UK Head Office).
  • Ensure that any issues reported via the ticket logging system are responded to and resolved or escalated to other teams correctly in a professional and timely manner.
  • Take ownership of a problem and liaise with other technical teams, including external suppliers, to resolve customer issues to satisfaction or escalating further where appropriate.
  • Install various technical applications.
  • Provide application support and liaise with third‑party editors to resolve issues within the agreed scope.
  • Provision and profile computers using Microsoft Autopilot following new starter and renewal processes.
  • Package equipment for delivery and arrange courier shipments.
  • Receive and document all goods in, including new and returns.
  • Disposal and recycling of computers beyond economical repair.
  • Administrative tasks related to provisioning new computers, arranging deliveries, and processing returns.
  • Communicate and share information with colleagues and managers effectively.
  • Adhere to agreed working arrangements and daily rota as issued by the team manager or delegate/deputy.
