Tenth Revolution Group is working with a well‑established organisation in London to recruit a Cloud Architect on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Azure Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Engineer or Technical Consultant looking to step into an architecture‑focused role. Working alongside the Head of Technology and a Senior Architect, you’ll help shape cloud strategy, review Azure solutions, and provide technical oversight across the organisation’s cloud estate.
Rather than being responsible for hands‑on delivery, you’ll act as the technical authority on Azure, reviewing work delivered by Microsoft and other technology partners, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, aligned to best practice, and support the organisation’s long‑term technology strategy.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of Azure but wants to move away from day‑to‑day support and engineering into architecture, governance and strategic decision‑making.
The Role
As Cloud Architect, you’ll be involved in reviewing, governing and shaping Azure solutions across the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing Azure infrastructure and cloud solution designs delivered by Microsoft and third‑party suppliers
- Providing technical oversight and challenging design decisions where appropriate
- Working closely with senior technology leadership to support architectural decision‑making
- Acting as a technical point of contact between internal stakeholders, Microsoft and external technology partners
- Supporting cloud governance, standards and best practice across the Azure estate
- Producing and maintaining architecture documentation, solution diagrams and technical artefacts
- Assessing proposed technical changes and identifying architectural impacts and risks
- Supporting technology roadmaps and future cloud initiatives
- Helping drive consistency, governance and technical quality across cloud projects
This role offers a high level of ownership, with the opportunity to take responsibility for activities typically managed by senior architecture leadership, making it an excellent development opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves in architecture.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Azure infrastructure or cloud engineering background
- Good understanding of Azure architecture, governance, security and best practices
- Ability to review technical solutions and confidently challenge design decisions where required
- Experience working with Microsoft or managed service providers
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience producing technical documentation and architecture diagrams
- Comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Azure certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑305 or equivalent
- Exposure to enterprise architecture or solution architecture
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform or wider Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Experience using architecture documentation tools such as Visio, Lucidchart or Orbus
What’s On Offer
- Salary up to £62,000
- Hybrid working in London
- Opportunity to work alongside experienced architecture leaders
- Significant exposure to cloud architecture, governance and strategic technology decisions
- A genuine stepping stone into a long‑term Cloud or Enterprise Architecture career
If you’re an experienced Azure professional looking to move into architecture without losing touch with the technology, this is an excellent opportunity to take that next step.
