Main Duties: Mechanical design of jigs, fixtures and tooling; creating 3D models of designs; generation of 2D detail drawings for manufacture; technical documentation creation.
Essential Skills: Proficient in Siemens NX CAD Software; additional experience in SolidWorks, CATIA V5 or Autodesk Inventor; competent with Microsoft Office software suite; educated to degree level or equivalent.
Desired Skills: Aerospace, Defence or Nuclear industry experience; time served as toolmaker/pattern maker; UKCA/CE marking process experience; FEA analysis or basic calculations.
