This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role where you’ll oversee a well‑structured team comprising 4 Team Leaders, an Assembly Manager, an Evening Shift Leader, a Production Planner, and around 30 skilled production staff.

The Role

As Production Manager, you’ll be at the heart of operations—ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll lead from the front, supporting your team while also driving continuous improvement and long‑term performance.

  • Leading and coordinating daily production across both shifts

  • Managing attendance, timekeeping, and payroll accuracy
  • Overseeing health & safety compliance, safe working practices, and PPE adherence
  • Creating quality alerts and driving problem‑solving initiatives across the floor
  • Reporting weekly machine performance and cascading insights through teams

About You

We’re looking for a strong, people‑focused leader with a passion for operational excellence and team development.

  • Proven experience managing large teams within a manufacturing environment
  • Confidence working with production planning systems (MRP) and MS Office tools
  • Knowledge of heavy manufacturing machinery
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • A proactive, positive mindset with a strategic outlook
  • Excellent communication skills and an approachable leadership style
  • Experience in KPI reporting and performance management

What’s in It for You?

  • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support
  • Long service awards (10–40 years)
