We are looking for an ambitious and driven Composite First Line Manager to lead our Composite Manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor looking to take the next step in their manufacturing leadership career or a current line manager to join a continuously improving team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding results across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People, while driving continuous improvement and developing a high-performing team.
What you will be doing:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all H&S, QMS and SOP requirements.
- Manage daily production activities to achieve customer requirements and production targets.
- Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, waste, quality, efficiency and service levels.
- Conduct short interval control activities and shop floor performance reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions.
- Carry out root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning and HR teams to support operational excellence.
- Ensure resources are utilised effectively while controlling departmental costs.
What you will being:
Essential
- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or First Line Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
- Proven ability to drive performance and achieve operational targets.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and IT proficiency. (SAP, Microsoft word, excel & PowerPoint)
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing or continuous process industries.
- Knowledge of OEE, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques.
