PAT Testing Engineer Goodge Street

Job Summary

JR PAT Testing is seeking experienced PAT Engineers for self‑employed roles based in Good Street, London. Candidates must hold a City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification (or equivalent) and maintain own insurance and calibrated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct portable appliance testing at client sites (hospitals, retail outlets, offices, etc.).
• Use test instruments to ensure electrical items are safe for use.
• Inform users of results, provide recommendations and explain non‑compliance.
• Record findings in PAT test reports and electronic systems.
• Prepare completion certificates, checklists and other required paperwork.
• Travel to sites independently or as part of a team, maintaining equipment and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent.
• Proven competence in PAT testing.
• Own insurance and testing equipment calibrated at least annually.
• Reliable, honest, and can‑do attitude.
• Ability to travel to Good Street and commutable areas; national coverage possible.
• Self‑employed status required; flexible hours for part‑time or full‑time work.

Location

Good Street, London (commutable). Candidates may travel nationwide.

Compensation

Payment is discussed per job and is pro‑rated based on the rate per appliance, number of tests and job dynamics.
