The Hospitality Event Supervisor role within Hospitality Services supports the delivery of high‑quality hospitality, banqueting and catered events at the Civic Centre and the Mansion House.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver a wide range of functions including corporate events, civic engagements and weddings.
- Ensure consistently high standards and exceptional customer experiences.
- Build strong client relationships, understand client requirements and deliver successful events.
- Manage multiple events, work to tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
- Handle cash and banking duties, demonstrating accuracy and financial awareness.
- Work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment, supporting operations both front‑house and back‑house.
- Adopt improvements to service standards and enhance the guest experience.
- Assume evening and weekend working commitments to support functions and weddings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in hospitality, events and banqueting with a strong focus on customer service.
- Demonstrable experience delivering quality events within a hospitality or banqueting environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple events.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Good working knowledge of front‑house and back‑house operations.
- Desirable experience in improving service standards and enhancing the guest experience.
