About The Role

Weare looking for a Children’s Care Waking Night Team Leader to join ourteam who has a passion for providing a high standard of support that enablesyoung people to learn and develop through education and positive lifeexperiences.

Therole

Youwill provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower our youngpeople to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’sindividuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the lifethey wish, in line with their individual support plans, you will need to beable to complete a range of records and documents.

Promotethe health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs ofthe people supported and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.

Facilitatingsocial, educational and play or recreational activities of their choice.Supporting them to maintain contact with families or significant others is akey priority.

Therole requires you to undertake all aspects of day to day household tasks suchas cleaning, cooking and shopping. Our young people also need to be supportedto manage their personal care and hygiene.

Leadthe waking night teams and manage the night hours / care of the children andhome.

Trainas medication officer, complete supervisions, appraisals and attend the hometeam meetings / training during day hours as required.

ForSupport Worker positions although an understanding of the role is desirable, itis not essential as training will be provided. Ideally, you will:

  • Holdor be willing to work towards a Level 3 in Residential Childcare (orequivalent)

  • Youwill need to be adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills andable to work as part of the team
