Duty Manager – SPAR (Elton)

Pay: £13.75 per hour, Minimum 24 hours per week (including evenings and weekends), Flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager to maintain a safe, legal, high‑performing store during Duty Manager shifts.
• Deliver store operations, objectives and KPIs.
• Manage, coach, and support colleagues, fostering a motivated and empowered team.
• Carry out performance and absence management, opening/closing duties, and ensure colleague safety.
• Perform cash reconciliations, voids, refunds and other till management tasks.
• Serve as a role model and lead the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote the store and engage the local community.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous management or supervisory experience in food retail or a similar fast‑paced operation.
• Strong commitment to exceptional customer service standards.
• Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Effective communication and influence at all levels.
• Decisive and proactive decision‑making ability.
• Collaborative working spirit.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm and flexibility.
