Project Success Manager
Sports Consultancy
£55,000 – £70,000
The City, London
2/3 days in the office
I’m partnering with a sports rights consultancy who have already signed some of the world’s leading football clubs and institutions after only two years of existence.
How? Their founders built the most successful commercial engine in football at a titan of a premier league football club.
The know how and kudos has propelled them to early success. The founders and leadership team are diverse in skill set and background, and the investors backing them are a major consultancy with deep pockets and patience.
The business is scaling faster than the processes that can be built to ensure the business and client projects succeed to the highest standards.
This role will be incredibly important and will lead to career development and increased importance.
The role
- Process-driven project/delivery manager – an executioner who keeps projects with football clubs moving forward in line with a roadmap. These relationships are owned by time poor senior leaders.
- Orchestrate different teams with differing interests – Every team has its own agenda – your job is to be the glue that binds and unifies objectives across the business.
- Owns the roadmap and project identity – creates the structure that’s currently missing (colour-coding, project identity, sequencing), since right now no one is building or holding the roadmap.
- Sits across GTM, suppliers and creative agency – acts as the connective tissue managing delivery between internal teams, printing/supplier partners, and the creative agency, including allocating resources.
- Drives data hygiene and lead efficiency – chases people for their Salesforce updates, plugs the “loophole” identified on the call (why leads were being lost), and makes sure responsibility doesn’t fall through the cracks on any one individual. The project is “only as good as the data.”
- Adapts to very different project styles – comfortable flexing between highly structured, intense, red-tape-heavy US projects (e.g. the multi-club women’s soccer / corporate-group work) and more emotive, creative, independent long-run projects (the 2-year CBO-led piece).
Your background
- A proven background in operational efficiency – You could be a Founder’s Associate, Chief of Staff, Project Manager, Project Success Manager, Delivery Manager or any other title for example the is involved with driving operational processes and efficiency that impact the customer facing part of the business
- Likes building process – Your job will making an incredible impact in driving the professionalism of the business and its offering to customers.
