Are you punctual, hardworking, and looking for full-time work in a fast-paced environment? We’re hiring Line Leaders to join a busy team in Avonmouth.
The rate of pay is £15.18 per hour, increasing after 3 months to £16.18 per hour.
Overtime is available and is paid at time and a half.
This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, 5 days out of 7, and the hours of work are: – 6am to 2pm
Applicants must have their own transport as the site is not easily accessible by public transport.
This role involves working in a chilled production environment handling items such as milk, cheese, yoghurts, and juices, with regular manual handling (approximately 3kg-12kg), standing for the duration of the shift, and leading from the front on a fast-paced production line where maintaining productivity, accuracy, and strict adherence to processes is essential.
Your Time at Work As a Line Leader you will be responsible for:
– Leading and working alongside the production team on the line – Monitoring team performance and ensuring targets are met – Keeping team members on task and addressing any slow or inconsistent performance – Training and supporting new and existing team members – Assorting goods on a production line – Erecting cardboard cartons and attaching labels – Conducting quality inspections of products
You will be expected to take a hands-on approach, working at pace with your team, ensuring processes are followed correctly, and maintaining productivity across the line. Team members are moved across different lines, and you will support this as required.
Please note that successful candidates will initially carry out Line Operative duties to gain a full understanding of the role, processes, and expectations before taking on full Line Leader responsibilities.
Our Perfect Worker Our perfect worker will be punctual, with good attention to detail, and comfortable with manual handling and working on their feet in a fast-paced environment. You will have a good level of English.
They will be confident leading from the front, able to maintain pace and productivity within a team, follow and enforce processes, and address performance issues where needed. You will also be approachable, able to train and support others, and respond positively to feedback while encouraging the same in your team.
Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training is provided.
