Premises Assistant Various Education Sites across London

We are looking for hardworking, reliable, and practical School Premises Assistants to work across a range of schools and sites throughout London.

Pay: £17.00 – £22.00 per hour depending on experience

As a Premises Assistant, you will provide essential facilities and site support, helping to ensure buildings and environments are safe, secure, and well maintained. You will work alongside Premises Managers and site teams, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities, maintenance, caretaking, or a similar practical role, with the ability to undertake a variety of tasks including basic DIY, cleaning, portering, security, and general site support.

You will be dependable, proactive, and confident working independently while also being a strong team player. A full UK driving licence is desirable and may be required for some assignments.

Typical duties may include:

  • Supporting Premises Managers and site teams across client locations
  • Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks
  • Undertaking site checks and ensuring premises are safe and secure
  • Assisting with deliveries, furniture moves, and room setups
  • Supporting cleaning and general upkeep of facilities
  • Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained
  • Providing a professional and helpful service to staff, visitors, and site users

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a premises, facilities, maintenance, caretaking, or similar role is preferred
  • Candidates with strong practical skills and a willingness to learn will also be considered
  • Ability to carry out basic repairs and general site support tasks
  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work
  • A DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new DBS check prior to commencing work

Hours:

Working hours vary depending on client requirements and assignment needs. Flexibility is preferred as opportunities may include different shift patterns and working schedules.
