Site Manager MOD / Civil Engineering ProjectsLocated Near Frome, Somerset

A well-established and highly respected main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to deliver a multi-building scheme on a live MOD base near Frome.

The project will involve the construction of 3 new buildings alongside associated infrastructure and external works, therefore previous MOD and civil engineering experience is highly desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality defence, commercial and specialist construction projects across the South.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of site operations on a live MOD environment
  • Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials on site
  • Managing health & safety, RAMS and site compliance
  • Overseeing civils, groundworks and building packages
  • Monitoring programme and ensuring works are delivered to deadlines
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
  • Maintaining quality standards throughout all phases of construction
  • Site reporting, progress meetings and record keeping

Requirements:

  • Previous Site Management experience within construction or civil engineering
  • MOD / defence project experience highly advantageous
  • Strong civils and groundworks background preferred
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage works within live and secure environments
