Job Summary: We are looking for a Technician with electro‑mechanical experience and would welcome applications from those who have just recently passed an Engineering B‑Tec qualification with an electronic bias. You will be part of a great team who provide technical support to all equipment used in the production of imaging devices and systems. Main activities in this role involve maintenance, calibration, and breakdown support. The equipment is housed within a clean room environment. It is a multi‑disciplined role where you gain experience with working with gases, chemicals, robotics, vacuum, electrical and electronics. The role requires someone to work a double day shift which pays a 25% premium. You will work with an equipment engineer on shift, but at times you will be the focal point of contact for all issues arising whilst on shift. Role Details

  • Double day shifts (6:00‑14:00pm Monday‑Thursday, 6:00‑13:30pm Friday; then 13:30‑21:30 Monday‑Thursday, 13:00‑20:30pm Friday).
  • Paying a 25% premium.
  • Cleanroom working: no makeup allowed, must not have smoked 4hrs before entering (non‑smokers preferred).
  • Required to wear self‑contained breathing apparatus after passing a medical and receiving training.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance and calibration tasks to ensure test equipment meets specifications and functions correctly.
  • Use company systems to ensure that all maintenance and calibration activities are logged; records kept of items shipped and tracked for repair.
  • Liaise with external companies ensuring paperwork is provided and equipment sent for repair is tracked.
  • Organize spare parts requirements, keeping all spares list up to date.
  • Support equipment engineers with equipment breakdowns as required.

Requirements

  • Competent using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Minimum BTec qualification in engineering.

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience in SAP Maintenance would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment.
