About The Role
Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts starting anytime between 7 am–7 pm, 8 am–8 pm, 9 am–9 pm. Occasionally required for a night shift 7 pm–7 am. We are looking for a multi-skilled security officer to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will ensure the safety and security of our customers, retailers and staff, conduct patrols, complete reactive and scheduled cleaning tasks, and respond to incidents on the estate. This role requires a Security and CCTV SIA license and willingness to clean and get involved.
Main Responsibilities
- Patrolling of the site to ensure safety, security and cleanliness
- Advising and assisting retailers where necessary
- Daily general cleaning of the site, involving the use of cleaning machinery
- Reviewing CCTV
- Ensuring all daily tasks are completed within deadline requirements
Health & Safety Accountabilities
- Communicate regularly with colleagues through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure a free flow of ideas and high morale
- Ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions and those of your colleagues
- Maintain personal H&S competence and skill level, including attending Managing Safety programme and other Company safety events
- Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose
Ideal Candidate Criteria
- Front line security experience
- SIA Qualification for security and CCTV
- Confidence in independent working
