Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join their Commercial Conveyancing department, based in Bexleyheath, Kent. This role sits within a busy and collaborative team, supporting fee earners with a range of administrative and client‑facing duties to ensure the smooth progression of transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and liaise with clients, agents, and third parties
- Provide conveyancing quotes to prospective clients
- Open new files and maintain accurate records
- Prepare and complete legal forms, including AP1 applications
- Undertake typing duties, including dictation work
- Assist fee earners with general case management tasks
- Carry out general administrative tasks such as printing, scanning, and post handling
- Provide ad hoc support to team members as required
- Ensure files and documentation are maintained to a high standard
Requirements / Skills / Experience
- Previous experience in a Legal Assistant or similar role within conveyancing
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, both telephone and written
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
