Job Description:

Whitehouse Community Primary School are looking for a Site Maintenance Worker to join the team.

Working under the direction of the Site Manager, you will have responsibility for leading a team of cleaners, doing in‑house repairs and improvements as well as contributing to the overall management and security of the site.

Responsibilities

  • Locking and securing the site each evening and unlocking in the morning if cover is required
  • Routine and emergency site repairs, maintenance and refurbishment
  • Contributing to the planned preventative maintenance routines
  • Routine health and safety and site checks
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Porterage
  • Ad‑hoc cleaning

Qualifications

  • A range of DIY skills, including plumbing and carpentry
  • Excellent working knowledge of the maintenance and development of an educational or commercial setting
  • Understanding of building regulations and health and safety policies
  • Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • The ability to prioritise the tasks in hand
  • Resilience, and the ability to work unsupervised and as part of an effective team
