Operations Coordinator (part-time) – Children’s Residential Services

Location: Multi-Site (South London) – Children’s Residential Homes & Supported Accommodation Services

Working Pattern: Hybrid Working Available (1 Day per Week from Home)

Salary: Up to £40,000 FTE (pro rata, dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our Children’s Residential Homes and Supported Accommodation Services across South London.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work closely with managers and senior leaders to ensure our services remain safe, compliant, well‑resourced, and inspection‑ready. You will support staffing coordination, compliance monitoring, health and safety, maintenance, training administration, and general operational functions across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staff rotas and support workforce planning across services
  • Monitor compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements
  • Support preparation for Ofsted inspections and quality assurance visits
  • Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, and contractor management
  • Maintain health and safety systems, records, and compliance checks
  • Manage training records and monitor mandatory training compliance
  • Maintain operational documentation, reports, and compliance trackers
  • Order supplies and manage operational resources across services
  • Build positive relationships with managers, contractors, local authorities, and external professionals

About You

You will have:

  • Experience in operations, administration, compliance, or service coordination
  • Experience within children’s residential care, supported accommodation, social care, education, or a similar sector
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong IT and administrative abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • A good understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel between services across South London
  • Enhanced DBS check (required)
  • Flexibility to respond to operational needs when required
