Job Description:

We are looking for a Recovery Coordinator (Band 5) to join our well-established Drug and Alcohol Services team. This is a key role in delivering structured treatment and recovery support for individuals affected by substance misuse, including those prescribed opioid substitution therapy (OST).

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of people with complex needs, including those prescribed opioid substitution therapy (OST).
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, risk management plans, and recovery plans.
  • Deliver structured psychosocial interventions (PSI) and facilitate group work.
  • Conduct regular care planning and reviews in line with national guidance.
  • Work closely with multi‑agency partners to provide holistic support.
  • Contribute to safeguarding processes and risk escalation where required.
  • Keep up to date and accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Foundation Degree / HNC in related field (e.g., counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies) or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Considerable experience working with drug users.
  • Sound experience using techniques such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution‑focused therapy.
  • Knowledge of national guidance and clinical governance requirements.
