Summary
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with particular learning, social and emotional needs in and beyond the classroom. This post is term‑time only, 30.25 hours per week (with a half hour unpaid lunch break). The successful candidate will, under the teachers’ clear guidance, support the education, personal and social development of individual pupils or small groups in the class.

Essential Qualifications
- Ability to operate at a level of understanding and competence equivalent to NVQ Level 2 standard.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 or above qualification – appropriate to the post (or equivalent).
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
- Ability to relate well to children.
- Knowledge of the concept of confidentiality.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment.
- Experience of administrative work.
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
