Job Overview
The key purpose of the post is to be responsible for repairs, servicing and maintenance of all buildings, grounds, facilities, equipment and vehicles on sites across Tunbridge Wells, Greenwich and Dartford. The incumbent will ensure void properties are ready for occupation for the Association, including reactive maintenance, decoration, repairs, administration and other ad‑hoc tasks as they arise. This role requires a broad range of technical and maintenance skills, including painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds work and general building work.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance of buildings, grounds and associated facilities.
- Perform electrical, plumbing and carpentry work as required.
- Paint, decorate and carry out general building tasks.
- Maintain equipment, vehicles and related infrastructure.
- Prepare void properties for occupation, including administrative tasks.
- Respond to ad‑hoc maintenance requests across the sites.
Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualifications or experience in maintenance.
- Knowledge of painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and grounds work.
- Ability to work independently and manage a range of maintenance tasks.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Contract and Working Pattern
Contract type: Permanent, Full‑time.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (37.5 hours per week).
