Overview

The Chaseley Trust supports individuals with diverse neurological impairments at our seafront location in Eastbourne. We seek dedicated, passionate people who want to empower residents’ independence and dignity.

Main Responsibilities

Quality and Regulation

  • Deliver high‑quality personal care following the care plan and resident wishes, ensuring comfort, dignity and independence.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding policy and Duty of Candour requirements.
  • Monitor care delivery to maintain high standards and resident well‑being.
  • Uphold privacy, dignity, choice and consent at all times.
  • Contribute to individualized care planning and record daily observations accurately.
  • Complete all regulatory and statutory training requirements and comply with company policy.

Clinical Tasks

  • Record observations accurately in the Nourish system.
  • Perform clinical skills appropriate to resident needs, documenting and acting on outcomes.
  • Apply protective wound dressings under nurse direction.
  • Undertake mandatory training and medication duties in line with policy.
  • Ensure equipment is safe for use and support workers’ completion of the Nourish system.

Leadership

  • Supervise the delivery of high‑quality care within the Support Worker team.
  • Mentor and guide Support Workers and Senior Support Workers as needed.
  • Provide feedback on new starters to support the probation process.

General

  • Assist with all aspects of personal care and support residents to live independently within their abilities.
  • Assist residents in the dining room and manage laundry and room cleanliness.
  • Support residents’ participation in activities and social outings.
  • Attend regular supervision and training sessions.
  • Maintain detailed and compliant records for each resident.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Person‑Centred Care, Medication Administration, Positive Behaviour Support, Falls Prevention, Urinary Incontinence, Wound Care Management, MCA & Dols.
  • Positive attitude and genuine desire to help people.
  • Right to work in the UK, over 18.
  • Enhanced DBS check (to be applied for by the candidate).

Working Conditions

  • Working hours on a rolling rota with alternate weekend work; 12‑hour shifts from 7am to 7pm.
  • Flexible hours between 24 and 48 hours per week.
  • Both day and night vacancies available.
  • Competitive pay reviewed during April 2027.
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave per year.
