Looking for a career where you can make a real difference — while having fun, building genuine relationships, and supporting people to live life their way?
No experience is needed. What matters most is kindness, patience, a sense of humour, and a willingness to support people in ways that make sense to them.
We are looking for thoughtful and enthusiastic Support Workers to support two women, Jane and Eleanor, who live in their own homes in Wrexham. Together, you’ll support them to live independent, full, and meaningful lives based on the things that matter to them.
We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, from 15 to 37.5 hours per week. The role includes one sleep-in per week, with opportunities for additional hours if desired.
A manual driving licence is essential, as being able to drive helps open up opportunities, activities, and connections that are important to Jane and Eleanor. This is not about rushing between appointments — it’s about supporting people to enjoy their lives at their own pace.
What matters to Jane and Eleanor
- Talk to us and treat us like adults
- Support us to do things ourselves, even if it takes longer
- Listen to us rather than telling us what to do
- Understand when we need quiet or space, especially if we are anxious
- Support us to stay connected with the people and things we enjoy
- Be fun, patient, positive, and easy to be around
Support Responsibilities
- Making a good cup of coffee
- Helping us use Facebook or Zoom
- Going to the pub, bingo, discos, shopping, walks, or visiting family
- Supporting us with routines around food, personal care, and our homes in ways that feel positive and respectful
- Encouraging us when we are feeling anxious or finding motivation difficult
- Helping us try new experiences and discover new interests
Jane and Eleanor both enjoy humour, animals, gardening, and spending time at home as well as getting out. They value support workers who can build trusting relationships, understand their personalities, and support them in ways that work for them as individuals.
You do not need previous experience in social care. We will provide training, support, and encouragement to help you grow in your role.
Qualifications
- A caring and respectful approach
- Good listening skills
- Patience and understanding
- Reliability and a positive attitude
- A willingness to learn

Could you help Jane and Eleanor live the lives they choose — with dignity, independence, laughter, and support that truly puts them first?
