Responsibilities
- Cleaning of sanitary ware, treatment rooms, waiting areas, office areas, kitchen areas, mirrors, and internal glass.
- High and low dusting and washing of tiled surfaces and paintwork.
- Cleaning of crockery, cutlery, utensils, either manually or using ward‑based dishwashers.
- Working individually or as part of a team to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with National Standards of Cleanliness.
- Escalating issues appropriately via the correct escalation process.
- Economically and safely using cleaning agents in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
- Carefully and safely operating mechanical equipment such as floor scrubbers.
- Replenishing disposable items (hand towels, toilet rolls, soap, etc.) and ensuring correct storage of all cleaning agents, equipment, and curtains.
- Disposing of waste in accordance with the Trust Waste Policy.
- Accurately completing all required documentation to support specific service processes, such as Barrier or Terminal cleans.
- Maintaining flexibility and readiness to work on other sites as service demands dictate.
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Flexibility and readiness to work on various sites.
High motivation and a desire to contribute positively to patient and visitor experience.
