Hours of Work
44.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, times to be agreed with line manager, with a 30‑minute lunch break and a minimum of 26 Saturday mornings per year from 8 am to 12 pm, generally worked on alternate weekends.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Sales Assistant to join our team in Long Whatton.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and serving customers on the yard and from the trade counter.
- Manual rack filling with timber and sheet materials.
- Serving customers on the trade counter.
- Forklift duties as applicable to your individual skill set and development.
- Machining duties as your skill set develops.
- Providing a prompt, polite, helpful and professional service to customers in branch and always promoting a positive company image.
Skills
- Ability to identify and locate products quickly and accurately.
- Ability to provide a courteous and professional approach to customers.
- Ability to self‑motivate, organise, and execute tasks.
- Ability to work safely and cleanly.
- Good basic numerate and literate skills.
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
