Job Role
Custody Support Worker – Join our CFO Evolution team to make a difference in the lives of individuals in custody. You will support a caseload of participants within a prison environment from initial engagement and assessment through to the end of their sentence. Support includes one‑to‑one sessions, group interventions, and pre‑release planning to facilitate successful reintegration into the community. Suitable candidates have experience in probation, social care, custody or related rehabilitation settings, or are recent graduates eager to enter the criminal justice sector.
We offer a competitive salary of £25,877 – £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet individual performance targets and contribute to team targets in line with contractual requirements.
- Collaborate closely with volunteer peer mentors and/or professional mentors to manage caseloads and connect participants with housing, substance use, physical and mental health resources.
- Foster a learning environment by sharing best practice and developing colleague skills.
- Ensure effective case management and risk coordination, safeguarding adults and children, and timely notification of any changes to the Probation Service.
- Achieve all contractual targets.
Skills and Experience
- IAG Level 3 qualification desirable.
- Experience managing a caseload of participants.
- Proficient with electronic data entry and retrieval, maintaining accurate computer-based information systems in a target‑driven environment.
- Excellent verbal, non‑verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate to people at all levels.
- Strong motivation skills to sustain participant engagement.
