Job Description:

Our Woodborough Road – Nottingham campus provides a nurturing, sensory‑rich, and person‑centred learning environment for learners aged 16‑25. As a key member of our team, you will deliver personalised study programmes, ensuring each learner’s journey aligns with their Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging individual and group sessions focused on emotional resilience and self‑regulation.
  • Work closely with the multi‑disciplinary team, including therapists and learning mentors, to provide holistic, wrap‑around support.
  • Guide Learning Mentors in embedding therapeutic teaching practices with a strong focus on high‑quality, person‑centred teaching tailored to learners with complex behavioural challenges.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification at Education and Training Level 4 (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this within an agreed timeframe.
  • English and Maths Level 2 qualification or willingness to achieve this within an agreed timeframe.
  • TAQA Level 3 (or equivalent assessment qualification) or willingness to work towards this within an agreed timeframe.
  • Training in Non‑Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) Level 3 or willingness to work towards this.
  • Qualifications in Positive Behaviour Support or willingness to achieve this within an agreed timeframe.
  • Patience, creativity and a deep commitment to inclusive education.
  • Successful DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week – Core hours 8:45 am – 4:45 pm.
