Higher Level Teaching Assistant

The Edward Betham CofE Primary School is seeking to appoint anenthusiastic and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join ourhigh-achieving two-form entry school in September 2026.

Graded ‘Good’by Ofsted in 2024 and ‘Excellent’ by SIAMS in 2022, our school enjoys a strongreputation. Parents and carers are highly supportive and positive about theeducation their children receive.

The HLTA willplay a key role delivering high quality teaching and learning across EYFS, KeyStage 1 and Key Stage 2. You willreport to the Deputy Headteacher and work closely with class teachers acrossthe school. Experience of working with children with SEND would bebeneficial.

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification
• excellent communication, literacy and numeracyskills
• ability to contribute to planning, preparationand delivery of agreed work and support programmes to individuals, groups or classes
• experience in leading whole class learning,covering PPA and staff absence.
• ability to insist on high standards ofbehaviour and academic outcome, enabling all pupils to flourish
• ability to use a variety of strategies toengage and support children in their learning
• enthusiasm for collaborative working and anability to contribute to planning and to provision for pupils with SEND
• a willingness to support the school’sChristian ethos
