Design & Technology and Art Technician
Full‑time role located in Kensington & Chelsea, Central London. Start date September2026, contract full‑time, five days per week, duration September2026 to July2027. Competitive daily rate.
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a high‑achieving secondary school in Kensington & Chelsea to recruit a skilled and proactive DT & Art Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a creative or practical background who wants to work in a school environment supporting DT and Art.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for DT and Art lessons.
- Support students during practical sessions.
- Maintain workshop and studio equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and demonstrations.
- Manage stock, resources, and materials.
- Support a safe and productive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in a workshop, studio, school, or practical environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of health and safety in practical settings.
- Ability to support students and staff confidently.
- Full‑time availability September2026 – July2027.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
Desirable Qualifications
- Background in Design & Technology, Art, Product Design, or related creative field.
- Previous school‑based technician experience.
- Familiarity with tools, machinery, or art materials.
