1-1 Teaching Assistant – Harrogate

About the role

Justteachers is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant with SEND responsibilities to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in the Harrogate area on a long-term basis.

The full-time post is due to start immediately, with shortlisting currently taking place. The school is well-known for its nurturing ethos, strong pastoral care, and commitment to ensuring that pupils with additional needs receive personalised, high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND to help them access learning
• Implementing tailored strategies and interventions to support academic, social and emotional development
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow individual plans and monitor progress

Pre-requisites

• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare or SEND support
• Proven experience supporting pupils with special educational needs
• Strong knowledge of SEND strategies, communication approaches and inclusive practice
• Two school-based references
